Lumiere is a bold leap forward in Location-Based Entertainment—leveraging XR technology to transform traditional venues like movie theaters and retail spaces into extraordinary immersive playgrounds.

Lumiere is a complete reimagining of LBE, designed from the ground up for spatial computing headsets like the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3. This original concept blends mixed reality, interactive storytelling, and AI-driven characters to create an emotional, cinematic experience — delivered not in your living room, but in real-world venues like theaters, malls, and pop-up activations

Created and directed by Thibault Mathieu, Lumiere invites audiences to sit in a theater and be transported into an imaginative universe that unfolds around them, not just on screen. From galactic landscapes to dragon-filled lairs and underwater dreamscapes, the experience evolves in real-time — guided by a central character, Lumi, who responds to the audience’s presence and choices.

Unlike VR escape rooms or passive 360° films, Lumiere offers:

  • 30 minutes of seated, interactive entertainment powered by cutting-edge XR

  • AI-powered characters that interact with the audience

  • Group or solo modes using synchronized headsets,

  • and a modular platform that adapts to any space — from cinemas to event venues

But Lumiere isn’t just a content experience — it’s a technical platform. Thibault Mathieu's team at Wilkins Avenue AR engineered a proprietary LBXR system with:

  • a local network that syncs up to 100 headsets in real-time

  • an iPad-based control interface for operators

  • screen-based AR anchoring to calibrate each headset dynamically

  • and custom charging stations integrated into venue seating

These innovations solve the core problem of high-end headset demos: they make Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 experiences accessible, fluid, and scalable — even for mass audiences. It’s an unprecedented fusion of immersive art direction, technical robustness, and operational scalability.

A next-generation format for collective storytelling — where users aren’t watching a movie, they’re living inside one.

Highlights:

  • Native Apple Vision Pro experience with real-time 3D characters and environments

  • Designed for 15–30 min sessions in seated venues (cinemas, malls, events)

  • Enables multi-headset demos for the general public without friction

  • Emotion-first storytelling inspired by early cinema (Lumière brothers), enhanced by XR & AI

  • Scalable platform with franchise potential (Paris & LA launches, then global expansion)
